hello! I have a small problem with my exhaust on my 1302, it sounds like a lawnmower at the moment. The engine is running quite well but the car makes an awful sound and backfires when i back off. i havent been driving the car much because i don't want to do any worse damage... The car used to have a zoom tube on it, but when the crazy noises started i swapped it back to stock twin tailpipes. It's hard to explain but if anyone lives near cheltenham and could come and have a look for me i would be most grateful!! mail me at [email protected] if you can help!

sounds like you need to check for oles.

check all the clamps are secure, and think about getting a new un if they are all secure.

carry on driving it, it's great when they are noisy :D

loud exhausts are ace, :D

almost definatly a holey exhaust! have a good feel around as they are often hard to see but do it when the exhaust is cold and be careful as rusty holes and edges are sharp!

zoom tube wont have made any difference to the popping.
