hey can any 1 suggest a reason why my bug isnt idling i just fit the pancake and now it wont idle did i hit something or is it because the change in airflow? :?

Does it run to fast or cough and splutter?

need more info, will it run if you hold your foot on the accelerator a little, does it rev smoothly?
have you tried getting the engine hot and seeing if it'll idel then?

could be many things either the change in airflow, icing, knocking dirt / fluff into the carb etc.

one other thing i just thought of, did you have a little vacuum pipe coming from a little metal outlet on the manifold that did go to the airbox? that needs blocking of properly.

...or you've knocked the wire off the fuel cut-off valve,left hand side of carb. as you face it

Or maybe your needle valve. They have a tendency to just go suddenly. Mine went a few months ago, nearly sent me mad trying to find the root of the problem!!

nope!

it will run if i keep me foot on the accelerator and runs fine!
will chek the vacum thang
