does anybody know how much oil has got to go into an air cleaner? mines a '71 with a rounded-oblong dome lid, i know the books say up to the red line, but i cant find my line! i dont think i have one!

matt, i had the same problem, but when you take the filter off, look where the bottom of the filter will sit!! it is an a small resevoir (sp) all you need to do is put it about halfway up, and that will catch all the shit, if you want i can take a pic of mine and you can see the line, and see where you should fill yours up to....try this site, it might help????

on the last pic, you can see an orange/red line, that is where you fill the oil up to, so if you have not got a line, you need to fill it about half way.....
