Can anyone help, I'm having problems?when engine's running i can't put car into gear, but goes into gear when engine's not running.tried adjusting clutch cable and coupling underneath rear seat, with no luck.

When you try to put the car into gear does the pedal send a heavy vibration back through your foot ? Have you been doing any hard lauches from the lites etc lately

If the answer is yes to the above then one of the clutch release bearing spring clips may have come off. this makes the release bearing out of alignment and v difficult to put into gear.
Or it may have broken the nose cone on the box.

Unfortunatly both will require an engine out job :twisted:

Thanks for the reply, I'd just put in a 1600 engine an this is the first time i'd tryed to drive it, the engine starts fine, there is some vibration when tryin to moving the lever into gear, someone said it could be a bonded clutch...so it looks like a engine outy. It's just strange that it go's into gear when the engine's not runnin. Thanks again
