as the title says!! my generator light is staying on after the engine has turned over on my bug. it has had an alternator conversion, can anybody shed any light on what might be wrong with it. the same thing happened last week but i took all my connections off and cleaned them up after that it was ok but now it has started again... :cry:

im having the same problem, have u check ed your regular? i have replaced genni and regulator and now am moving onto testing the wiring

maybe the bushes in alternator?? is it a new one?

if you have done a conversion from dyno to alternator you no longer need the regulator as a alternator has the regulator built in
