any one have any tips on how to get the front seats out of a beetle?? we've looked through the manuals that we have but cant seem to find anything...

is it two or three point fixing?

if it's three point - theres a little metal clip with a screw through it at the front of the seat in the middle. undo the screw and flick the metal clip out of the way with a screw driver, the seat will then slide backwards off the runner for you

if it's two point - take the spring off the bottom of the seat (holds it to the runner) and lift the movement lever all up and slide the seat off the runner forwards.

I think the three point one is right. The two point one definately is tho :D

but how do you determind the differance between the two as niether of the descriptions seem to fit..

3 point seats fit with 2 legs at the back and then also at 1 point at the front in the middle and there will be a big lump in the floor!

2 points just have the 2 runners at the side.

Have you definatly got stock seats ? as its often the first thing to be replaced!
