hey, is it hard to fit a 1303 engine to a 1300 bug?

Same as. With a jack, axle stands or ramps (better) and a couple of pairs of hands, should take less than an hour all in.

its the same as any other flat 4 mate-4 bolts and away you go...

just make sure it's a 1303s engine as normal 1303 bugs just ran a 1300cc twin port engine, it's only the 1303s that got the 1600cc engine.

if you want to upgrade to a 1600cc engine you can use one out of any bug, or bay camper van and it will slot straight in (you'll have to transfer a bit of tinware from your engine if you use one from a bus or a 1303)

well worth the effort as it really is a 30min job if you've got the right tools or know the right people :D

wen i had me first bug i ran a 1300 gear box n a 1600 engine.it woz rappid :lol: :wink: :) :D
