Well it's time to give something back. I'm a true believer that you should look after those that look after you , hence this post

Two forums , Volkstorque and Restowagen have been my life line for quite some time. I have had a good laugh , learn't heaps , bought lots of parts and had nothing but encouragement , help and support. In this crazy world we live this makes a refreshing change.

All to often it is very easy to forget what goes on behind the scenes. The headaches , the hassle and cost are just a small part of it. Although i have never ran a site ( and don't want to) my brother has and he chucked it in due to the pressures.

This site is without one of the best on the net and we should be thankful for it. So bearing that in mind i'm going to do something to support the guys and girls on both sites.

I am an autoglazier by trade , fully qualified , with over 15 years in the business. To say i'm fussy is an understatement and i know how much folks think of their cars. Here's my offer to you

I am willing to help those out that need glass work doing to their Aircooled VW's at a very low rate. To give you an idea on costs here's a rough idea

* refit any rubber glazed glass with original rubbers ( i.e removed for resto / bodywork) at a rate of £12 a window

* refit any rubber glazed window with new rubbers ( i.e removed for a cal rubber swap ) at a rate of £16 a window

* remove and refit any rubber glazed window ( i.e i'll pop them out AND refit them ) at a rate starting at £20 a window

* Minimum cost would be $20 to make it worth the time

I will say this just once.

ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE FORUM THAT IS USED TO CONTACT ME! I WILL MAKE NO MONEY FOR MYSELF OR RECIEVE ANY TYPE OF KICKBACK WHAT SO EVER!!!! PERIOD!!!

Obviously there are limitations and provisos ................

* This is only open to regular forum users with a good amount of posts under their belt. My discretion

* This applies to aircooled VW's only and fixed glass only. No doorglasses etc

*No traders /Panelshops /folk in the business . i'm not about to take work from those that need it. Purely forum and club folk that would struggle doing it on their own

* You supply ALL parts. Supply cheap nasty parts and you get what you pay for! You can only polish a turd so much

* I'm happy to do local work . If you want to come to me on a nice day , fine or pickme up/drop me off

* You have access to a good looking girl under 30 that will help me with MY rubbers and puts out big time ( optional)

* Strictly cheque only made out to the relevant forum. You place cheque in a sealed envelope. No cash etc

* Also you supply the beer when i'm there!

*I only have so much time so it's first come first served and dependant on how much free time i have available. the better you plan the better chance you have of getting the work done

* All work is at your own risk. If a glass goes pop , fizz , bang i'm not giving you a new one! In 15 years thats only happened once , on a 356 of all cars , bloody typical

* Should any hassle , bitching , slagging etc happen i'll withdraw my offer and you all lose out, be positive please

So what do i get out of this you may ask?? Well as i started this off , it's about giving something back. I love and want to meet other dubbers and have a sticky beak on projects and daily drivers. Also i know that you'd be getting a service that no other company would offer as i know what your bugs , buses etc mean to you and i'd give it the time thats needed.
