Beetle Turbo Chargers?? info plz!

Anybody know anything about these????? is this product a guarenteed engine blower, i've got a nice newly rebuilt 1600TP ok done 3000 miles on it, new enough for me.. i'd love a blast with one of these jobbies on it, ppl's opinions plz.. jamie

Its a tried and tested bit of kit thats been under development for a while, most of the history is in the mech tech pages on vzi!
its essentially a custom exhaust and turbo components from a renault 5 turbo. you could build yourself the same kit for alot less if you source good secondhand components, but you'd then need to fabricate the exhaust, turbo mounts etc etc. its a decent price for a complete kit, would prob take a good weekend or so to install (think new front to rear fuel line and return feed) but its not too complicated really. if you have a bit more to spend then take a look at the cb performance kit (twin 40 dells) more bang but also more buck and more complex! |

dont forget tho that if your still running stock drums all round, and stock gearbox then you may need to upgrade them first. heavy launches could munch your axles, heavy duty clutch may be required and discs on the front at least would be very sensible!

jon's been playing around with this for a while and i'ts putting out some impressive figures. best thing to do is speak to him at big bang, should be aiming for 14's
