bug k&n??

do these exist? k&n air filters for bugs ? or is it better to get a shiny one from ssp or sumat?

yes and no. they exist (think they are the same as some small engined mk1 golfs) but no its not worth the extra you'll be better off spending alot less on a decent cloth style filter from ssp and the like. like the one gaz has on his bug.

dont bother with the shitty chrome / foam / pancake type affairs tho.

just a word of caution, although they flow slightly better than the original (and take up much less room) they do not have facilties for oil breather pipes, or warm air intake so in winter they can cause you cold running problems and you'll have to buy a mini oil breather filter thing / run a length of pipe somewhere / get a crankcase breather kit.

yeh i got a paper one at the mo a bugpack one that has an oil breather on it just needs replacing so was wondrin bt a different type
