CV Boot Removal Tool...
Hi guys, can anyone enlighten me as to where I might purchase a star tool to undo my cvs pls?
What is the correct description? Star? Torx? VW? 2 Square???? What size and spec? I am assuming 1/2" drive - Online or from a store, Warwick area. GSF list one but is £13 ouch!! Cheers, Ade.

i got a set from halfords fairly cheap
they also replaced them when i broke 1 bit......twice

torx drive i think, star and torx are same as far as i know
pretty sure they were 1/2" drive, but if youve got a 3/8 ratchet you can get a 3/8 to 1/2 adaptor __________________

there's two types of star-shaped drive... one has twice as many points as the other... just make sure you buy the right ones

I bought one last year- its a 12 point, but cant remember what the size is (i bought a set). I got mine from MVC in coventry. less than a tenner for the set i think.
I'll check the size and let you know Rich |

12 piont star/spline 8mm bit.
if you ask for that you will get the right bit - as long as you are not in halfords
