Those sort of shootouts are nearly always organised by car journo’s that are too scared to go on big bikes. It’s just to make them feel less inadequate about the fact that cars just aint as fast.
I remember them having one in CCC magazine years ago where they pitched a full on Pikes peak replica short sport Quattro against a Triumph touring bike and then harped on about how amazing it was that the Audi beat it by a few tenths of a second !

i would agree, i wanted that r1 to blast the veyron, and is it me, or would anyone have something like a caterham or n aerial atom over something as silly as the veyron, i mean come when r u ever gonna get it up 2 250
