Thats a weird lid....whats the thing that looks like a vent where the number plate light goes? Also, about in the middle of where the plate would be....it looks like theres a recess with two bolts in?

Reckon its a very late lid...possibly off a F.I. or mexi car.

got one on both my bugs
The cut out bit in the middle - is it a housing for a rear brake light?

I've been told on a few forums now, that its off a cabrio, and the vent in the middle is thermostaticly operated ! I'll check to see if the stat is still there.

Not a Cabrio deck lid.
Stock late decklid with extra vent so could be Brazilian or Mexican.
