I saw a rust free montego last week - nearly died of shock!
Theres a nice mk1 astra gte round the corner from me.

mk3 or 4 (square ones?) cortina
mk3 escort
mk2 cavaliers
maestros (thankfully)
metros

As a bodyshop mate was saying on saturday. The amount of cheap credit schemes for new cars is killing off the bodyshop trade / 2nd hand market etc.
A lot of people will scrap an otherwise perfectly good car and buy another 2/h one when the clutch goes rather than repair it.

Haven't seen an Opel Manta for ages.
Or a Rover SD1.

And thankfully I think most Lada's got shipped back home !

There's an old bloke who works at the petrol station on my way home who has a Viva that take him there in the morning.
And about 6 miles further down the road; parked up now, but in use until very recently, an orange Hillman Hunter.

Thats actually true! I used to work at Ogihara (Venture pressings), and a lot of the steel they used for the austin/rover stuff was rusty before it was even pressed!
