UnhappyWould a panel beater be able to do this? If so please recommend one.

I bought a pair of stainless chrome bumpers for my split from someone at a show. It wasn’t until I got home that I’ve noticed a small kink in the top of both the front and rear bumpers. Also the rear has a small indent / crease in the middle of the bumper on the right hand side

These aren’t massive kinks / dents but caught in the correct light you can notice them. I know that I’ll see them every time I look at the bus

Would a decent panel beater be able to eliminate them?

If so could anyone recommend someone? I’d prefer the midlands area but if not I’d be willing to travel to get it sorted.

That sounds good was beginning to loose hope of it being done following the comments I had on VZi when I posted this

Any idea of the name of the one in Dudley or the road name?

If it's chrome, then you may have a few problems as the chrome may crack and flake.

the name is Dentmark on Oakham Road Dudley, he works from home so its not a repair place, ill try and get his number asap for ya, if the chrome does crack or flake you can get them re chromed easy enough, not too expensive if you wave the readies under their nose

Unhappy

Gave 'Mark' from Dentmark a call, sounds like a nice guy, anyway he said the metal would be too thick for him to do the job. If its the supermarket type dent on the door then fine but not this

Are the bumpers genuine stainless steel or are they chrome plated as this will affect the way to deal with the problem.

If there chrome plated any remedial work to remove the defects will damage the chrome and they will have to be replated.
If they are stainless steel you can get an experianced panel beater used to dealing with classics to remove them by heat shrinking or panel slapping etc with the only down side being blueing of the stainless but there are chemicals/techniques available to remove this.
I have removed blueing and deep scratches from stainless steel at home with a few tools/products and some patience

They were sold to me as stainless and then chromed

Someone at vanfest gave me someone else to try 'A F Hells' in walsall.

Anyone used them?

Had a look on Yell.com and still have to find them

Starting to think if I get them done I'll have to get them rechromed..Wonder how much that will be
