bloody computer has packed in,the grafic card has blown up also picked up a virus & its wiped the hard disc completely clean lost all our photo's ie some of our wedding photos,last years RTTS,the kids newborn onwards,brother in laws wedding photos,etc etc

using our old computer my god its slow but it works

know how you feel mate. my porn surfin got the better of my computer last year...totally killed it. lost all my pics and all my music. gutter.

if you get stuck i know a bloke who will sort it for out for ya. he wont charge much either. let me know pal.

computer now back on line & running nice

but my mate said there's no chance of getting the pics back,he's tryed a recovery disc but no luck

,the virus completely wiped everything off.

I heard that when things are "deleted" they arent really deleted but just moved to an area on the hard disk where they can be overwritten by something else later on (so they still exist on the disk). If you want to properly delete somat you have to carefully take out the hard drive and smash it up good.
So it's quite possible your pics are still on there dude, its just finding someone with the knowhow and the right software to find it. It could be expensive, but I guess them sort of photos would be worth it.

If the recovery disc has been used on it then they are gone for sure (the drive gets reformatted when it's run). If I'd seen this earlier I could have had a look at it for ya...

we're very lucky that laura saved all the photo's on AOL not the computer

we've had to put every thing back again,printer,AOL,etc etc,a bit of a pain in the arse really
