adjust the beam , or the steering stops.

Depends how bad it is rubbing.

the beam is usually a bolt(s) in the middle(depends what adjusters you have). Mark it , support the weight, loosen the adjusters, raise the car, tighten the adjusters, see how it sits. (remember to let it settle)

the steering stops are even easier - just wind out the stop till it stops rubbing on full lock, then check you can still go round corners

Last option - borrow some wheels with skinny tyres on, just for the mot !

what size are on at the moment ?

If you can't fix it with a hammer, then it must be an electrical problem.

Think I'll have to look at the steering stop (who needs to go round corners)
At the mo I've got 165's on
So what do you think?
Cheers
