GUTTED (ENGINE OUT)

Gave the van a normal oil change, getting it ready for dubfreeze & found 2 clips that holds the gudgen pin in the pistons in the sump,so i took the engine out to inspect further.Looks like a strip down job might convert to 1641 while its out,,O well shoud be ready for dubfreeze

i dont seem to have much luck lately. :? :? (i'll keep a up date over the next couple off days)also may need a hand this w/end.

bummer mate.

btw 1641 - heard lots of stories that they're a very bad idea in vans as theyre too thin & overheat

hi steve,1641's are fine,but i'm going for the cheaper option,i'm going to hone out the 1600 barrels & fit new ring's & gaskets.should be ready for dubfreeze providing i can get the parts to me by friday,hmmm

engine should be stripped tonight,parts are ordered & promised me they're be friday, the engine should be built & running some time saturday.

Engine update!!
engine stripped,lucky no damage to pistons or barrels,
barrels honed out & top face's cleaned & reseated,
heads cleaned & de-coked,
ready for rebuild.

so far going well fingers crossed,,,

ENGINE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!

engine all built up ready to be fitted,,,new rings fitted,honed out,new seals & gaskets,timing set.
all i need to do is fit the flywheel seal,exhaust & fit the engine & run her up.
