The reason I changed it is because I fucking hate twating swearing on fucking thread titles. Poeple really piss me off thinking they can just blurt out fucking words as if they fucking invented them.

I was messing around with the censor function. I noticed that Marm removes swearing in thread titles which IMHO makes the forums look better than if they were un-edited.

Thought i'd save him the work by having the forum automatically do it.

Unfortunately, the software won't just edit the titles on their own, it's a global thing.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don't want to censor everyones stuff but we could really do with having at least the main pages clean enough to not put people off when they first visit.

Additionally, the reason some work and others don't is just cos I was trialing it out & couldn't be arsed to type in every word I knew

Any suggestions or fucking opinions ?

Personally I think it's a bit much censoring all the words in the threads but I think it does help if the titles were cleaner.

Maybe we do just stick it back to modding titles as and when they arise ?

To be honest, I'm not that bothered about the whole thing. I just thoought there might have been an option to censor what you see yourself (kinda like the 'ignore' option) that'd I'd had on. As long as its only a couple of letters, and you can still make out the word, that's fine. Its not like you're changing what we actually say so in my book its not really censoring is it?

Other than that, I'd suggest asking people to kindly refrain from swearing in thread titles via a sticky or something.
