This was changed a while ago so that the custom titles were added as a 'perk' for donators along with a few other bits.

In addition to helping keep the Volkstorque site running you also get the following increased benefits.
Volkstorque Image Hosting
- Upload upto 5 images at a time instead of 2.
- Number of stored images increased to 500 (from 50).
Volkstorque Garage
- Number of garages allowed increased to 10 (from 3).
- Number of pictures per garage increased to 50 (from 10).
- Garage image individual file size limit increased to 2MB (from 100KB).
General Forum Areas
- Ability to change the status under your username.
- Ability to use an image in your signature upto 500px x 100px.
- Ability to upload animated avatars.
- Avatar size limits increased to 100px x 100px and 50KB file size
- No restriction on attachment storage space (from 50MB).
- Private Message storage upped to 500 messages (from 200).
- User album capacity increased to 500 pictures (from 50).
- Individual album picture size limit increased to 2MB (from 100KB).
Also, access to a dedicated 'Donators' request forum for priority support issues and site recommendations/requests. Ths can also be used to request a username change (Upto once per month).
