As some may know who were down at club on Tuesday, we've started planning a FLF4s club activity weekend.
We've found a superb venue and the price is spot on, as are the location and the facilities, and it's only down the road!
The location is Baggeridge Country Park, which is near Wombourne and at the back of Himley Hall.
They have a separate area for camping and we can use one of the fields as well.
They have a good modern toilet block, water and elsan points and also a cafe on site as well.
Anyone who has been there will know how nice it is, for those that haven't, it's well worth going. Plenty of paths for woodland walks, and plenty of playing area as well!
There are several routed walks which are ideal for both children, less abled and dogs as well.
They have the ampitheatre which is the large field which makes for a superb rounders pitch or football.
They also have ponds/pools to go fishing....! They also have a kiddies adventure playground.
The area boasts a toddler's sandpit, death-slide and swings as well as a climbing frame structure with rope bridges, tunnels and slides. An absolute must for all children!
See here for the rest of the stuff they have there!

They also have something pretty special which opens up next friday and that is
Closer to the edge! Baggeridge Aerial Rope Adventure!
It's a 45 foot high aerial adventure playground for adults (and children from 8 yrs and up!)
and it's not for the faint hearted! We can book this in advance if people wanted to do it and we could get a group discount.
Now, here's the crunch, we can book this up but it comes down to cost.
For a night they charge a whopping
£5.90 per campervan! (2 in a van, £2.95 each!)
If you are a single person in a tent, they charge
£3.20
If there are 2 in a tent, then they will charge
£5.90
If you've 2 adults and and 3 children, it's
£5.90!
Now, you can't grumble at that!
We get to use everything there (the Closer to the edge facility is charged extra as it's an outside company).
Everyone says that the best part of going to a show is being with yer mates, well, now we can do all this for next to nothing cost wise!
And it's only 1/2 drive tops from Telford, down the Rabbit run, left at Himley lights and right at the next Island.
And yes, before you ask, dogs are more than welcome. We've taken Roxy over there walking a few times and it's perfect for dogs, as well as a blast on a mountain bike or some BMX'ing.
BBQ's are allowed and they have a BBQ area in the campsite. All BBQ's/Fires must be off the ground.
prospective dates could be Van fest weekend 13th/14th September or the weekend after. or any other dates you want!
If you are up for it, then please add names down here.
