What would you do ?

My splits not lookin it's best with 2 different shades of yellow, so I've got a dilema.

The re-spray was done before I bought it & areas are wearing thin so the original seeblau's showing through.
I like patina, so should I try to strip off all the yellow to see what's below & hopefully with a little money, it'll look something like the 2nd pic ?

But .......
I ain't got 5k for a respray, so if I attempt the above & it doesn't look good I'm in the sh*t

What would you do

I can't see how you can get the yellow off without damaging the blue underneath. How sure are you that it is all blue underneath ? It may be that the yellow respray was done after repair panels had been fitted and you may end up with some odd non-blue areas anyway.

This is the dilema that's "doin me 'ed in"
I've been informed that using an extremely fine wet & dry will remove single layers.
I've had it looked over by bodywork experts & they think the bus is mostly original panels. If I scratch the underseal off the floor panels, the original blue paints still there but of coarse that doesn't mean it's all original
I know accident damage etc. is hard to predict until you remove the paint but this is all part of my dilema ?
I've seen examples of patina blending by guys like the 'bus barn' & others.
So I'm sure, (when you see that there's the skill out there to change pic1 into pic 2&3) I can find someone with the ability to blend in new paint on any panel repairs that might be on mine.

But if anyone knows different, please advise

Very fine wet and dry will take it off, but there is an awful lot of bodywork and it will be very slow, tiring and even more boring than an evening with my in-laws....

If you want a good respray and dont want to spend 5k then i can reccomend a mate of mine who does top notch work at reasonable prices.

Ive already paid him to paint my bus even though its going to be a year before its ready to paint.
