Project Street\Strip Car - Subaru powered

Project in progress.

The Car

1964 small window Bug.
Chassis IRS'd and Type 2 gearbox fitted.
Front bulkhead cut out and framework installed (ust needs panelling).
Rear luggage area and inner wings cut out (planned building a framework to hold rear wings and decklid).
Brand new heater channels, stripped apart to run 35mm Ally water pipes bent to fit the channels by Wayne at Intergalactic Custom Shop. Heavily painted inside to seal from rust.
Both bottom 'A' posts replaced.
Good small window doors with opening 1/4 lights and all glass.
Steel '64 decklid.
Fibreglass flip front about 12 months old but never been cut or fitted.
Plastic insulated copper pipe for fuel lines.

Engine side of things

2L Subaru Legacy Turbo Engine approx 230 bhp
Just finished replacing all the gaskets\seals.
Engine detailed in purple, black and silver.
Coolant manifold reversed so that the water outlet comes out by the flywheel instead of the front of the engine. (to fit in with the cars water pipe design)
Brand new cast aluminium short sump fitted to improve ground clearance.
Shortened oil pickup to fit the new sump
Piston style dump valve
High Flow air filter
Standard intercooler
Billet flywheel (not the usual dowelled and welded) and adaptor plate
Loom modified by TSR Dragracers and ready to be spliced into a VW harness or custom loom
ECU
BMW fuel pump (Brought new by me last year)
New Aluminium radiator (Only used on my previous 2.2 engine)
Fan cowl and Fan for the above rad.
5" Autogauge Tacho with adjustable Shift light and recall, Also has inner dials of Water Temp, Oil Temp and Oil Pressure with senders.
52mm Autogauge Smoke series boost gauge (New in box)
Clarke Rotating Engine stand. Bought and only ever used to hold the scooby

Price

£2300 - ovno

I will only split into Engine & Car.

Prices would then be

Everything listed under engine - £1900

Everything listed under car - £500

The car could quite easily be run as an aircooled but also has the pipes and space to run pretty much any watercooled lump

Looking for a quick sale to throw the cash into yet another money pit.

Details of the car's progress can be found here --> The '64
