I wouldn't trust those speed test gizmos. Far too many inconsistencies doing it via a web tool.

For example, here's my test done via the tool

And now here's a snapshot from my newsleecher client a few seconds later

The speedtest gave me varied results from 7Mbs to 16Mbs.
