Broadband experience

As some of you know we are in the process of moving house
At the moment we are on telewest broadband, but telewest doesnt cover the area that the new place is in :x
So, we don't know anything about any other broadband providers, so thought we would tap into the vast vault of knowledge that is volkstorque

Need to know who you would recommend and who to avoid like the plaque We have thought about tiscali, wanadoo and bt/yahoo, any info you can give us would be great

Please watch out for my posts regarding needing electricians, plumbers, gardeners, plasterers

Well pay as u go is no good as Damson is on-line alot as u all should know and then we have two other machines that also use the internet and i download lots of stuff and spend 3 to 4 hours a night on-line too, so it has to be 512mb min and unlimited 1mb would be good but i have had a look at Ukonline and think it may be 2Mb for £29.99. Does anyone use them or have any experience of them.

the pay as you go maxes out at about 29:99 for 1mb, there are no download restrictions, no throttling on P2P, the support is awesome, the service is awesome, it has only gone down for 1 h in 2 years and that was BT's fault and the dropped the prices as a result. you only have to sign up for 3 months (not 12)

There was an interesting item onWorking Lunch, yesterday.
They had a WHICK report on who is the best Broadband ISP.

Turns out that the best ones are the little guys.
Like Waitrose.net or something,Tesco do it as well.

Have a look at the WHICH website, perhaps the report is on their website.
Either way, think a little "out of the box" for a good service.

Good Hunting.

RALPH.

P.S. NTL scored the worse for service but I,ve not got a bad word for them.
Horses for courses I guess.
