VW Golf GTi Turbo Problem URGENT please help!!

Hey guys! This is my first time so a big hello to all!!

I have a problem and hope that there is someone in here that has the technical knowledge to assist me in rectifying the isuue.
Yesterday I installed an MFD navi system (version G) the navi unit works ok but have a few issues with getting the car to show actually on a named road rather than off-road. But this is not the main issue, the fact that the indicators, hazards and rear window heater are all inoperable now (im presuming that it is related to ther install of the navi) I think this because im sure they were working ok prior to the install and the fact that all the things that are not working now are relating to the buttons situated above the radio/navi slot.
I have taken the sat nav out and tried the indicators without any unit in but they still dont work, could I have knocked a connection out when pushing the navi in?

Anybody who could tell me some tests to carry out to sort the problem would be greatly appreciated!!

I cant seem to find any detailed fitting guides for this unit on my 99 golf gti turbo so dont know if ive done it correctly from start to finish. Any help in this department is greatly appreciated also!!

Look forward to hearing from you....

Many thanks in advance.

Andy

Hi Andy.

I'd start with the obvious and check your fuses. sounds like u could have blown one. especially as on some golf's (not sure which u have i'm afraid lol) the indicators, hazards etc work off one fuse so i'd go through and check them all first.

any more probs let me know and i'll try my best

hope this helps.

Steff x

Thanks steff, I have already checked the fuses but all ok! I have checked the relevant fuses to which would be related to this fault and all are in tact.
;( annoying! Cant see how I could have knocked anything out of place behind the navi as ive just had it out again to reposition the gps aerial and theres not a lot of other exposed wires etc...

Steff that's awesome!! Reckon that would be well quick without all the extra weight the mk4 carries

Sounds like an amazing project.... sweeet! Keep me posted, very interested!
