Fibre glass filling!!

Just bought this off Ebay, star wars clone trooper helmet prop armour on eBay, also Reproduction, Props, Film Memorabilia, DVD, Film TV (end time 25-Feb-09 13:36:36 GMT)

Just need to know what is the best thing/way to fill it? Also can the fibre gladd be cut okay? As I need to cut where the eyes are? and insert it with tinted plastic!!!

Any help would be great.

Marm,
Try this.........
Dinitrol 6080 Fiberplast (1.5 kg)*(B25 - Frost Auto Restoration Techniques=

But you need to sand back any gell coat first or you wont get a key.

For cutting and trimming the best thing I've found are the cutting blades you can now get for cutting ceramic tiles. You can get jigsaw blades and holesaws for a drill.
They don't have teeth just a bonded on abrasive grit so it doesn't chip the gel coat layer.
I've tried all the dremel type attachements and stuff but haven't found anything as good as the tile stuff.

Finally .......Marm reaches new depths by asking for volunteers of VT to rub his helmet down.

looks good quality! fromt the pic it looks likt a bad mix on the gel coat.

Is your lad going to be wearin it on his head ?

If so has it been flo-coated (soft textured paint) or lined with anything?

also it might be easyier for you to just grind the blisters of then put on your fibre-all/ filler .

Not sure if it's been coated with anything at all (I know bugger all about this type of thing!)

Yeah he is going to be wearing it, but mainly for show in his bedroom.

They are not blisters, they are creaters!!

Any help would be great

inside the lid is it just fibreglass on show or a smooth paint?

the creators are from the cataylist in the gel coat , dont worry just grind off and filler over .

Just make shoe the lid is smooth inside as you dont want your lad to be getting bits of glass in his head/ neck that could be a hospital job!! as it poisons your blood!
