Talking jacking points

am new to havin a bug (74). the first thing i did was put new tyres on the front,but first i had to take those off and put them on the rear.i was told not to jack up on the original jacking points, could damage heater channel. but when i jacked up i never felt confident.so first could you tell me were to jack up best and which jack bottle or scissor,also best places for trolly jack. thanks

As above, but always use a trolley jack, loads safer as they are less likely to slip or topple and as you can get them for less than £20 these days its a no brainer.

Scissors are ok in an emergency or to stash in the car, but given the choice, trolley every time.

Also ALWAYS ALWAYS use axle stands, even for the quickest of jobs, its just not worth the risk.
