my resto custom project...

i started out with a blank canvass....a late bug that i have detailled history of and 56000 miles from new. It was showing its age, but it was seemingly solid. Here it is 6 months after i bought it, after i had sprayed all of the wings, and added the smiths turbo alloys

i soon needed a change. I changed the wings for pre-67 ones, and smoothed the decklid. I fitted dropped spindles and sprintsters to prevent the rubbing. I then wanted another change... i got itchy feet! here it is stripped out for the next 'resto'

all of the pictures during the resto were taken with an analogue camera, so if i cant ill scan them in

heres a crappy pic imediately after it'd been put back together,with a bonnet bib and a scooped decklid (all metal)

then came the beggining of the engine difficulties, so, i had to drop the engine through the removable rear valance

thats a much better pic of the colour

the interior is trimmed by myself, not brilliant i know, but it'll get redone fairly soon

next up, 4 inch narrowed beam, and the finishing of the interior and install. need to find some wheels too

did a load of the prep work, but got somebody else to spray it. Fantastic job and great service. Did some welding too.....

so here it is so close to being finished...ignore the scrape on the rear wing; its gettin sorted. and NOT by the guy who did it...
