1970 1302s

Well, seeing as the MOT is close, thoght i'd share a few pics with ya...

Bought this scrap thing off Ebay about 18 months ago, amazingly it had 5 months mot left on it, so used it as a daily til it expired, (Dangerous looking back!)

Firstly braced the body....



Then fixed this....



New channel and floor and door pilar...

Seeing as the inner rear arch, and bumper mount was corroded, and the panel was generally sha**ed, I replaced the whole thing, both sides!!






Cut through the window frame, and drilled out the spot welds



And took that baby out!

Cheers.

Boot and rear quarters came from heritage

chanels and floors and frame head bottom plate came from GSF

Front flitches and one of the rear cross members came from Fishers

And the other RC member came from cool air.

I found all of the panels to be of a good standard, the chanels from gsf needed the holes for the floor bolts drilling wider cus the the heater chanel bottom plate was slightly out of line, not really a problem, just a little inconvenient, and the RCM from cool air needed the holes drilling again for the floor bolts, as it didnt have any.

TBH, all of the panels needed a little "tweeking"...

wow been some time since i saw this dan, last time was at college and a hole appearing at the back much to your shock.

Be great to see it back on the road
