BSA 'Competition' classic road/racing bike
Availability : Collection
Location : Hockley Heath (Jn 4 M42)

Classic BSA (Birmingham Small Arms) road bike
22.5" (57cm) – I'm 5'10" and it suits me fine with the seat in the position in pics but some leeway in either direction to suit different rider heights

Frame serial WK2001569 (made Worksop in 1982)
Reynolds 531 butted frame – very light
Shimano 600EX (Arabesque) front shifters & 600EX (Arabesque) front deraillleur
Shimano 600EX (Arabesque) crank
600EX (Arabesque) was the top of the range hardware for the time
Shimano RX100 rear derailleur
Suntour AP rear cassette (6 speed) – double chain ring so 12 gears in total
Italian 3TTT (Torino Top Tube) bars
French Pelissier P3003 front hub with quick release
Italian Miche rear hub with quick release
Water bottle cage
rear reflector

New parts (less than 200 miles old):
red seat cover – never used
Ali seat post
Continental Ultra Sport tyres front & rear
Continental inner tubes front & rear

A solid and light classic road bike, everything works so ready to ride. Does have some frame scuffs/marks etc commensurate with a 27 year old bike. Will come with Crank-Brothers eggbeater pedals as in pics (no cleats though but these can be bought easily) or fit your own (pedals tend to be personal preference anyway).
Only selling due to an upgrade - collection from Hockley Heath (Jn 4 M42) or Gaydon (Jn 12 M40).
£135 ono

BSA's still here if anyone's interested - it had sold but flat-out work means it's been a problem for the buyer to collect so he's fine with it going back up for sale. Gimme a shout if anyone's interested before it goes on eBay
