right lets try and answer a few questions
who restored the van
im still not sure, i know it was someone down south i have loads of pics of the bus in different stages, the place the pics where taken is full of beetles and campers so obviously a specialist
ive been painting and restoring vehicles since i left school (16 years) i do this for a living and when i first saw my van i was amazed on the quality of paint and any welding that has been done is superb, obviously looking at the van and the pics of when it was restored it was a expensive job and you can see in the pics that not much filler has been used and i also have reciepts for every panel (new and second hand) that have been replaced
history
i have documents from all its previous owners (8 of them) the van was first bought from torquay on the 7th march 1967
i have quite a few servicing reciepts and previous mots bills ect for quite a number of years
handles and delux trim where bought from custom and commercial (still look like new no pitting) i have the reciepts
tyres are vredestein all round 185/65/15 rear on 5.5j rims 165/55/15 front on 4.5j rims all as new, wheels are new and unmarked reciepts present
not sure who irs'd the van (ill get some pics so you can see the quality of work ) it does have a 1303 box i think, gear change is spot on and cruises at 65 all day long
i have no reaciept for the front beam i did adjust it 3 months ago and all was fine and it will still go alot lower if thats how you like it
rear is lowered 2-3 splines new pics will be up later on so im sure someone will tell me exactly later (dead dubs lowered the rear just after christmas this year)
uprated shocks all round (ill have a look at the make tonight)
engine
this was a recon in 2004 and bought from volkspares at a cost of £860+vat i have reciept
forgot to mention it has a deep sump, external oil filter and 009 dizzy
last serviced by me 3 months ago ( i do a college course for aircooled vw's at mansfield college and ive done quite alot of work there) i also have lots of reciepts for servicing items from the previous owners
my van is booked in for a rolling road tune on the 4th september and it will not be sold before vanfeast
stereo
kenwood head unit, sony dvd and screen (folds down from heater vent) 6-9 speakers under r+r bed, amp, 6" speakers in front doors this all runs from the lesuire battery on a seperate fused system not a head banging stereo but not bad
240v system wired in by myself and a electrician all goes through a caravan consumer box with trip switches for all sockets under the r+r bed
more pics will be up later im being really fussy when i say a few chips the front bumper does have some but i am repainting this next week
i also have £1000's of reciepts from loads of specialist for alsorts
