Ok Tricky just to keep you happy
here's the description.
I am selling my unfinished project 1972 VW Beetle 1200cc.
I am selling due to my parents moving home and not having anywhere to work on it.
The vehicle is located in Bolton, Lancashire.
A lot of work has been done as follows:-
Floor Pan:-
New floor pan halves both sides, new frame head, all shot balsted, primed and painted.
Adjustable front beam fitted, new urethane bushes installed, new long travel ball joints installed, new anti-bump steer kit fitted, all shot blasted, primed and painted. New wheel bearings, and all the brake assembly is new (eg Drums, shoes etc).
Gearbox cleaned, primed and painted. All new brake assembly plus new rubber gearbox mounts.
Wheels are chrome interceptors. The front tyres are brand new but the rear ones are worn and will need replacing. The wheels are in average condition with some rust just starting to come through, the front wheels are in better condition than the rear ones.
There are no dampers on the car both front and back.
The engine is a 1200cc and has had no work done to it since I got it. It was fully working when I got it (yes I saw it working). It needs a good clean, all the tin ware replacing and a new air filter box.
The Body:-
The following panels have been replaced. Front valence, Rear valence, rear bumper hangers, door pillar bottoms ("A" Posts), rear quarter panels, and the infamous heater channels.
The rear valence is pre '67 as is the engine lid and the rear wings.
There are NO front wings with the car.
The door bottoms are completely rotten (both doors) and will need new door skins.
The dash board is a smooth dash with 3 holes in it (see Pic) the original dash is underneath this.
The petrol filler cap has been smoothed over, but not finished and could be returned to original.
The car comes with a petrol tank and all the glass, there are some other bits included like door pannels, door handles etc.
The front windows are one piece windows.
There is no interior in the car.
The car will need to be put on the back of a tow truck as it has no seats in and the brakes are not connected. You can NOT tow this behind another car!!!
The car comes with the V5 document.
