ok, just bought a new car, so this has to go asap! its a 1991 mk2 golf driver in black. when i got it i fitted a new rocker cover seal, new manifold seal and o ring, and carb gasket. i also lowered it on new 40mm springs, and fitted new bushes and plates as the old ones were fooked. it has MOT till June i think, and tax about the same. the car looks fairly solid, it has some flacky bits on the driver rear arch, passenger door has been resprayed in a matt black, and a few dings here and there when i got it the clock had stopped working at 122,000 miles, i have probaly done about 6000 since i got it. it has a few little bits that need doing to it, and i just dont have the time. it needs new front brakes, passenger side has begun grinding quite bad the last 2 days or so, so probably best to do discs and pads. needs a new speedo cable. the car over revs a bit on tick over. but when i did the new carb gasket, it looked as though the valve had been bent up by some one at some point
so could be down to this. on a cold morninig it takes a a few goes to get it started, and when cold you have to tickle it into reverse gear. and finaly i think the thermostat is on the blink as the fan doesnt always work, and over heats once a month or so. these are all quite simple and none expencive repairs if you know how. on the bright side the engine is a trooper, i have taken it everywhere no probs. cruses at 80mph easy.
so by no means a show winner, but a cool, cheap ride, located in tamworth, staffs! call 07975691775
