I bought this car last September, since when I've covered about 5000 miles.
It's a 530i, 3 litre V8 with manual 'box. The springs have been cut but the ride is still perfectly good. Just before I bought it, it was fitted with new BMW lower arms, upper arms, replacment inlet gaskets and new ZZ1 225/50R16 tyres all round.
Since I've owned it, I've also added a Blaupunkt MP3/CD player with built-in bluetooth and a USB connection which now resides in ashtray and replaced the 4 main original speakers for OK Pioneer ones. It's also had a new set of mats.
It has a typically high spec, including one-touch electric windows, one-touch electric sunroof, on board computer, leather, remote central locking, BMW alarm, total closure via the key - all of which work perfectly.
Overall, it's in fine condition. The seats are good, no real wear to them and the bolsters still fine - there is a red stain on the back of the passenger seat that has been there since I had it. The drivers armrest is broken, meaning it doesn't lock into place, but just sinks down beside the chair.
Bad points are there are a couple of stone chips on the bonnet and a paint run below the front badge, there is some rust coming through on the rear quarters and the rear badge is looking the worse for wear. The worst bit is the power steering pump is on the way out. When maneouvring, it seems to catch and squeals like a mofo. It's related to RPM and doesn't happen while driving, just low speed stuff. It's not annoyed me enough to fix it yet! Lastly, the gearbox is a bit notchy between third and fourth gears - I keep meaning to change the gearbox oil, but again, it hasn't annoyed me enough yet.
I think that's about it!
It's actually my wife's everyday car and is used for ferrying the kids around and getting the shopping, so it's not exactly stressed. I use it for fun and it's me that fancies a change, not her - she's loves it and is more than happy to keep it.
Feel free to offer anything to swap - I can add cash or take cash on top of a trade.
To give you an idea of what she's after, my wife
really likes the idea of a VW Bora.
