My Bay bus is taking all my time and to be honest I just fancy a change having had bugs for the last 14 years so time for a change and so my Bug is for sale...as the pics show it is SOLID and fairly priced at £2500ono...may sell without engine @£2000 if so desired....having had a look around at Bug Jam and how 'solid' the bugs there were I could ask £3000 for it but I want to sell not keep it...







Based on a 1969 1500 Beetle it has had 1 new floorpan, 2 new heater channels and the lower A posts replaced so it's nice and solid.

Engine is a 1600 twin port, had new piston rings and cylinder heads last year and been in my bay window since with no issues. Has a 4into1 header and a single quiet pack exhaust system, with heat exchangers in good condition.

Sloping headlight wings, both doors and running boards have been replaced so no rust issues there.
Rear lights have been frenched into the wings.
Engine bay has scoops attached to the side panels to get more air into it.
Rear valance is now bolt-on so nice and easy to fit engines.
Bonnet is a glass-fibre one, came with the car when I bought it, it does have cracks in the paint but usable enough for a daily. There is also a pair of chrome Blade bumpers for the car as well if you want to fit them. Last re-sprayed 4 years ago, ie if the paint was going to react/show signs of poor preparation it would have come through by now...but still have the paint codes so easy to get touch-up paint.

Otherwise mechanically it is a 1500 Beetle - disc brakes at the front, and the gearbox has the 4.125 ring and pinion.
Entire brake system has been replaced in the last 10 years including the master cylinder and calipers.
Front gearbox mount is now supplemented by a Berg style heavy duty gearbox mount. There is a traction bar to go with the car as well.

Interior is just two glass-fibre bucket seats and a nice carpet, and standard gear shifter now (Berg shifter been sold). The Autometer guages and rev limiter will be removed from the vehicle as they're needed for the engine. There is no other trim except for a headliner and as the pics show it is all nice and tidy. Original radio is in the dash. One piece windows and all window rubbers were replaced ~10 years ago with 'Cal-look' trimless ones. A nice canvas for you to make the interior as you want.

Car currently has no MOT but only reason for that is that I have only used it for straight line fun at Santa Pod (with a different engine fitted). No MOT at the moment, just slowly returning it all back to stock and will then get a MOT but if you're interested I could drop the price a little if you want to take it now

Vehicle is obviously tax exempt.

Wheels are EMPI 8 spoke types in Anthracite. Tyres are, Front 195/55/15 and Rear 205/65/15 - all with lots of tread left on them and in good condition.

Will also include an A-frame towing bar so you can tow it away.
