For sale my fantastic mark 2 golf GTI 8v digifant
Where to start with this car! I have always wanted a Mk2 GTI and a couple of months ago, i was in a financial position where as i could treat myself.
So i found this one and loved it straight away. Did the deal and started off home. Anyway, on the way home, the engine blew. It had done 144k and it had no service history but thats the gamble of these things i suppose!
So out came the spanners and i have changed the engine. Now its done but my finances are not so rosy and i have to sell!
The car is perfectly driveable and has MOT until August so can be driven away however it is 20 years old and needs a few bits

Exhuast manifold gasket needs replacing, as its blowing.
It will need a gear linkage repair kit as the gears are a bit sloppy . The repair kit has been purchased and i may get this done, if not it will come with the car

Was a cat c about 5 years ago, fully repaired and VIC checked. I have evidence of the damage at the time, it was only passenger side door really, just was uneconomical to repair
So as you can see, a great car that needs a little TLC. This is a perfect first time VW project as it can be driven daily and done as you go along or a solid base for a full restoration.
Please note that this is a 20 year old car that could be classed as a rolling project so there may be other little bits and bobs that need doing. However i am proud of this car as it looks great when all cleaned up and polished.
I am selling for what it owes me, no more but certainly no less.
