& WHAT GOT YOU INTO V DUB'S,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I was onto mini's & bit of a boy racer ,,,,,,, then 1 day i felt like a change & i've all ways loved the bug it's got character,so i decided to sell all my mini's & brought my first bug which was yellow back then, which is now green & white my pride & joy,& i now have small collection of v dubs..

My wife was also in to mini's, but we didn't now each other then, then she went of the rails & brought a Nova SR & became a girl racer ,then we meet, at the time i had a golf gti/bug which she fell in love with me & my bug ,which then she sold her nova for a golf a year later she sold that & brought a bug & she love's the v dub scene

If you're talking cars, nothing... I was always obsessed with VW Beetles for as long as I can remember.

I wanted to be a hippy My parents had a spack attack and banned me from piercing my nose and getting dreadlocks

I think seeing the movie Herbie when I was little was a big factor. Otherwise I just thought bugs and buses were out of the ordinary and cool.

Started driving in 1989.
My first car was an X-reg XR3i, which I wrote off.
My second car was an X-reg XR3, which I wrote off.
My third car was an A-reg mk3 Escort 1.6 ghia with an XR3 engine, which I wrote off.

After my first year of driving, and 3 crashes, I couldn't afford to insure anything at all. So went round in a mini 1275gt.

In 1996, after my premiums dropped to an affordable level, and a good few cars later, I went to see about a mk2 Astra GTE. The guy had a bright orange '72 1200 parked next to it.
It was love at first sight and I ended up buying that. Which I wrote off.
