Anyone registered an engine change with the DVLA?

If so, fancy letting me have your reg number?

Seriously though, we have a new system at work which is linked to the DVLA for car info, and I want to know if it picks up engine changes. I don't know anyone who has done it, all I want to do is bang the reg number in to see if theres any record of it. I wont keep your data on record or use it in any way.

View my Volkstorque Garage(s)

That's one to note, If you change the engine (Heavier or Lighter) or even modify the car for a weight change you're meant to get a weighbridge certificate showing the weight and (I think) change the log book to the new details.

It's something to do with the computer being able to calculate the braking efficiency for the new info

It very nearly did stay orange, but the thought of all those twats saying 'You've been tangoed' everywhere I went, and them all thinking they were the first to say it, was more than flesh and blood could stand..
