Hiya, just to share the news,

I got a good deal with my car insurance renewal through "Performance Direct", got their number through the Volksworld mag, £83 with a confirmed valuation too. The insurer was with Chaucer Ins.

was £99 last year.

Oh cool, thanks. I was with HIC with the one Beetle, but renewal came through at over £300. It's uninsured now as it's off the road, but I'll keep it in mind

I phoned my insurance company today for my 66 beetle, now his up and running and they wouldn't insure him fully comp. So i'll give them a go too... Thanks

i've just started looking around as my insurance is due in october and i've just been quoted £1323.60 with £450 excess!!!

just because im 20

why dont they just say they wont insure me instead?

Just had my insurance renewal quote through...

£24,363

and that's with £500 excess! and that ain't too bad really. One of the other companies wanted over £30K!

My bay cost £500 odd insurance. The reason they gave for charging us so much was:
a) my age (22)
b) "high risk vehicle" because they're often stolen.

I'm not sure about b, but I hope things will be cheaper when I'm a grown up! lol
