BMW Reverse Gear

I picked up my cousins new bmw 320i for him the other day and i cant find the reverse gear in it!

Its not a new one was made in 1988

anyone have an idea where it might be,

apparently they are sometimes tricky to put it in reverse

push down towards the floor and angle as if you are pointing it forward to the left corner of the passenger footwell

Hmm E30 320. I think they are to the left of first. Cant remember if there is a reverse lockout on those or not. Can you push the lever down (like pushing it through the floor of the car)?

Then go all the way over to the left, and forward.

i seem to remember not being able to push it down

i think ill just have another fiddle

Im 99% sure its over to the left and forward, but cant remember if you have to push down or not. The one I had (for about a day ) was a smoky old 325 sport.

push it forwards and diagonally to the left, its wierd. not really pushing it down.


It feels as though there is resistance but keep pushing and it will go.
