Tailgate seal, help!!

I have recently got my van back from the restorers and have replaced all the seals, unfortunately I cant get the tail gate to seal at the top, it almost looks like the tail gate is deformed as when its shut i can just about get a finger between the van and the tailgate at the top.
Anyone come across this problem before??

sounds like it may just need a bit of adjustment mate. slightly loosen the bolts that hold it on, just a couple of turns, then shut the boot and push firmly inward at the top. if this gives you the gap you need then gently open and retighten.
