Gene Berg Shifter - To Buy or Not to Buy?

Here's a couple of shots of my bug:

I don't know if I should get a Gene Berg shifter or not? I would require it more for the locking mechanism than the shorter throw as I honestly don't mind moving my current stock stick 30cm to get into gear.

I have just purchased a gear stick lock form machine 7, which will meet my security needs, but then for the extra £150 or so, would the "comfort" of a nicer gear changer really benefit me?

What do you think?

Thanks

Go for it!!
Nice shifter, maybe a woodrim steering wheel, and wind that front end down another half inch!
If you're buying a new shifter though, be aware the comfort side of things won't come into it until the shifter has been broken in.
A friend had to borrow my Scat shifter between me buying it and having the car ready for it... and she ended up with a very sore shoulder from using it!!

Had a Gene Berg in my last bug and loved it. I would go for it as the short shift makes a world of difference.

Nice bug
