Cabbage

I'm about to replace the engine in my 68 Bay but before I spend my hard earned cash can anyone recommend where is the best place to get one from. I've ben told that I should stay away from Volkspares, Elite VW engines in Essex are pretty good. I've just been told to try JH Engines so has anyone had any dealings with them - are they good/bad etc ?

Haven't tried jh or elite but have heard good things about them. Best person i've found is Laurie Pettit. He did a wasserboxer cranked engine in my bay 3 years ago. Never had any probs with it. nice bloke v.g. prices. Can be a little bit difficult getting hold of as he's moving but leave an message and he'll get back to you

I used J H Engine for some machining work - nice bloke carnt fault him, he even made sure he was in on Good Friday to have some parts of me for machining
