A few pics from Krakow

Had a short break with Alex to Krakow in Poland. A stunning city and would recommend it to anyone. Polish people are very nice and polite and every other shop in the city centre is either a restaurant or a bar!!

Our hotel was right next to the main square and they had the Polish market with all the christmas festivities going on which was nice!

I went to Krakow a few years back, great City.

I see you went to the salt mines, did you go to Auschwitz & Birkenau?
Not a good place to go, but when you do you understand the shear scale of camps and the unmentionables that went on.

Krakow...good night life too

Make sure you go up the hill to the Castle to see the dragon bones!

When you get to the Castle grounds and look over the river to the bridge, the one on the right hand side, there is a few alley ways.

Down one of them we found the most bizarre Militaria Shop ran by these two old boys.

They sold WWII uniforms, flags, medals, WWI swords & bayonets and even had a cast iron head of Adolf Hitler for sale, it looked liked it had been broken off a statue!

The guys did'nt speak any English, but worth a visit.

Also the market in the square sell really good wooden models of VW Beetles....and I may have purchased one......or two.

It's worth to go Krakow on New Year.Two years ago there was 200,000 people on the main square.Music & Fireworks.
