68 RHD Ghia with a 2.2lt Subaru Engine!

Ok i've thought about selling this a few times and come very close. Having decided to keep it i promptly got offered my dream car and i've gone and brought that so this and my bug have to go.

Car is a solid enough 68 ghia, that i've grafted a 2.2lt Subaru engine in (145BHP) added front and rear disc brakes and 16" porsche boxster rims.

Engine is in, running and cooling nicely. Runs DS Tuning adaptor plate & flywheel with a 215mm bus clutch.

Fueling is supplied by the original subaru in tank pump modified and grafted into a brand new tank & filtered with a stock subaru filter.

Cooling is through a rad up front, connected to steel pipes running under the floor.

Floorpans, sills and various arch panels have been replaced

Interior is complete with original dash, seats (need re stitching) and a big tacho (with shift light) and water temp guage. No carpets installed as they are crap, but most of it is supplied for a template.

Front beam is adjustable, shocks are adjustable koni's and spax, gearbox is stock ghia swingaxle on urethane mounts

There are tons of spares that come with the car, some to finish it off, others to improve it / modify it further.

These include stainless exhaust components, a pair of rust free doors,set of door rubbers, window rubbers, shocks, clear front indicators, gearbox mid and rear supports, set of crusty bumpers, set of German car company 'Awesome' seats, heating system with electronic bypass valve etc etc

The car is not currently on the road. It was being driven regularly (with a 1914cc aircooled) before being taken off the road for the conversion.

The conversion is complete but there is a weekend or two work to put it back on the road. things to do include

raising front end or replacing the discs with adaptors for porsche drilled discs and supplied 10mm spacers to improve clearance.

Leveling out the back end (i've raised one side by an outer spline, need to do the other).

Connecting the handbrake cables - simply bolt them up at the handbrake end.

connect up the headlamp wiring (disconnected when fitting the rad).

connect up the electric fan (wiring)

mount and connect the horn and windscreen washer.

And perhaps the exhaust (current one fitted is very loud).

Other than that its good to go. There are plenty of other bits that need doing eventually, ie fitting the doors, seals gearbox straps, exhaust and tidying up the interior.

My intention was to get it back on the road and then tidy it up as i went along and eventually respray the lot.

Car is in Telford and viewing is welcome / reccomended!

I'm after £4,500. No swaps or p/x as i've already brought the replacement!

Indeed, the ghia is down in the dale at the moment, and the 356 is in the rapidresto workshop. If i'm not with one i'll be with the other!

Although I've got an assignment to hand in on Monday so its likely i'll be at home all day!
