Please note, this isnt for me but for a friend of mine

He doesnt want a shit box but at the same doesnt want to pay heaps for it as he just hasnt got the money

paintwork isnt a problem.

we have a 72 850

could do a quick resto for a grand

no paint or anything fancy - and we would need to keep it a while to get the reg transfered. so if you are in a hurry then its a no go . engine swap would be easy if you wanted the 1000

Mini 1000cc (tax exempt)on 1968 'F' reg,mini mayfair re-shell no rot excellent sub frames loads of work done bonnet needs painting,bucket seats,interior needs finishing,new minilite wheels,cooper badged/look-a-like,red/white.

im resurecting this thread as my friend now needs a car, and a mini is still top of the list. He doesnt want to go back to a peugot again if possible.

must be a reliable runner and obviously the less rust the better. looks dont matter that much. anything out there for under a 1000 quid?
