[quote=bat67;412464]Great set of pictures thanks, here are my last few remaining ones. It amazes me you can walk around for 10 hours a day and not see all of vanfest, maybe i had my VW googles on or could it be (Beer goggles). There were loads of fantastic vans there.

vanfest website has not been updated yet, anyone know who won the show and shine?

Amazingly the silverware for the show and shine came back to the Midlands! The judges choice much to our amazement was our hearse. Against the odds mind you as we were stuck in the mud in the bottom camping field. There were some awesome V Dubs in there so I nearly fell off my chair when they anounced it. A much appreciated gong too.

A great show despite the flooding and lack of straw in our camping area (thanks traders!) so well done to the organisers for pulling it off on such a naff wet weekend.
Great picks by the way guys. I think I must have missed so much of the show, I'll have to work out how to put photos on here.

Thanks for posting a photo of our hearse on this thread.

We were well impressed with your hearse, congrats on winning. Conversation with my husband when we got back revolved around it, we have both decided that when the time comes that a VW hearse is the way we want to travel on our final journeys. White is definitely the new black. Not sure bout the wicker coffin tho.................... lol

Arr, thanks for your kind comments. I think 'Hearseby' as we call him probably did get a few people thinking and that's not a bad thing really. Unfortunately when the time comes for most of us we have no idea what someone would have wanted and there is so much that you can do these days.

Michelle bought me the wicker coffin, she gives the best gifts! however I'm sure it didn't need to be 6 foot 4, perhaps she's left me room for my tool kit in case I break down on the way to nervana. A St Christopher would have done! ;@)

White is indeed the new black, VW's are representative of the ' swinging 60's & 70's' peace era and white represents peace so this was what we based our decision on it also means our fleet match!
We do quite a few younger people sadly so this is easier on the eye if you know what I mean.

I hope you don't need to call upon our services. If you do contact us personally as some undertakers add a lot of money on top of our prices for organising us!
