removing a crankshaft pulley?

How easy do these buggers come off? do i need a puller or will they gently tease off at all???

as long as you understand you need to be 'gentle' , there is no reason you cant use a hammer and bit flat head screwdriver to prise it off.

put a lever down behind it to prise it off then tap the pulley with a hammer.

just get 2 strudy things EITHER SIDE an prise it off evenly. they are a tight fit, so any uneven movement wont budge it.

it tent to use 2 tyre levers of something like that.

Or get a 2 or 3 arm puller on it

You need to leave the bolt in the centre (just unwound) for the centre pin to rest on though.

If it's a right stubborn git then it may be worth picking up a replacement in advance. Cances are it'll bend as they're not that thick/sturdy

Bit of heat round the pulley center cant hurt either.

I remember me n Roadie spending about half an hour gettin the one off his 1200
