Easy n Quick 03 resto

I hope

so , back in sep - I bought this

it's been parked up in my gerden ever since

Wednesday I cleared out so I could get it in the workshop

Yesterday I gave it a good poking to find as many holes as I could .

for a 35 yrs old 03 it was suprisingly good

Yellow is the orig colour, so it looks like most of the car has 'never been welded' as they say

RH Front Quarter

RH Chanel is ok up to the rear

RH Rear Quarter

LH Front Quarter

LH Chanel - needs running board mounting and bottom panels - the rest is solid.

Rear Quarter

all in all after a good hard poking

this was the total damage I could do ! Inside is very clean / solid / no rust

I've ordered the repair panels today and hope to pick them up in the morning.

Wont get much done tomorrow as it's a club engine swap day

spent a couple of hours on it today

got the front drivers side done

and started chopping out the rot on the rear

more tomorrow

Got the welding finished on the drivers side today

those GSF panels are 'sort of' the same shape as they should be ! had to cut them up and put them back together

and a quick brush coat of red oxide

will give it a skim of filler when I've done the welding on the other side

Hope to get that done tomorrow - but will prob need thursday too

well got an SOS from Mr SD yesterday for a road trip !

so - got the rot cut out on the pasenger side and a bit of wekding done before we went off to Basildon !

not much done today ....

rebuilt a carb for Nat182 and sttripped / rebuilt the brakes on the 03,, good pedal for the MOT now

no pics today !

its getting there

not been working on it much, but got the welding finished

top and bottom plates on chanel

rebuilt both rear quarters

and started skimming and prepping for paint

gonna try and get an mot so I can use it on saturday, so might not get paint on this week
